Dear Friends of Seats of Dreams,
Today is the last day before Seats of Dreams merges into Tickets for Kids!
Our first Facebook post was on May 20th, 2012. Today’s posted picture was one of the first. In those 2,417 days we have posted thousands of thank you pictures from the over 150,000 experiences that we have created for deserving children.
While we’re very excited about joining Tickets for Kids, the end of Seats of Dreams is a bit bittersweet.
But we’re not ending on a sad note, but on a high one. What could be better than hearing from a lovely young woman who survived a pediatric brain tumor! She was not just a recipient of a seat of dreams, but a suite of dreams at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City.
So while the name and entity of Seats of Dreams falls asleep, the combination of it into Tickets for Kids will create many, many more DREAM experiences like the one below.
Best wishes & DREAMS for 2019 and beyond!

Dear Seats of Dreams and Philanthropic Donor,
Thank you so much for my stay at the St. Regis Hotel. Your generous act of kindness meant a lot to my family, and me, as it was a great experience, I truly felt like a princess! I am blessed to have received the opportunity to stay in the beautiful and luxurious hotel for the night.
When I was five years old, I was diagnosed with a grade four-brain tumor. The doctors told my family that I only had two weeks to live and that it would affect my breathing. Soon after, my family took me to several other doctors to get other opinions. Five doctors had all given me the same prognosis. . The situation looked hopeless. However, just a few days later, they performed another MRI. With prayers, a miracle happened. The doctors were shocked. They told my family that from a grade four, the tumor had regressed to a grade one. They said this case was “bizarre,” but unfortunately they still would not touch me because the tumor was so deep in my brain. My family sent my MRI scans all over the country to the best neurosurgeons in the hopes that they could find a doctor who would be willing to operate on me. Fortunately, one doctor in New York was willing to take on the risk despite the dangers. After the surgery, I was paralyzed on my right side. I couldn’t walk, talk, sit, or hold my head up. Even something as simple as speaking was a monumental challenge for me. The doctors warned my family that I would get worse before I got better. They also told my family that I would never be the same again and that I would never be able to walk. Fortunately, my experience with miracles wasn’t over yet. Thank God, I got the majority of my mobility back.
Today, I am a healthy, strong, and hardworking young woman. I recently graduated from college with a double major in Business Administration and Finance. Throughout the years, I have come a long way and this tragedy has made me a stronger and more mature human being. It has truly given me my identity by making me the optimistic young lady I am today. I love high-end fashion, beautiful homes, cars, and opulent hotels so being at the St. Regis made me feel like a kid in a candy store! I believe God has given me a second chance for a reason, and I hope someday I will be able to make people happy by making generous donations like you. Thank you once again and I hope to meet you someday.
