Ridgewood Emergency Services is a volunteer organization made up by four different divisions.

Ridgewood Emergency Services is a volunteer organization made up of four different divisions: Emergency Medical Services, Special Operations, Teens In Emergency Services, and Vehicle Fleet. These divisions work in tandem to aid the Village of Ridgewood and any local surrounding municipalities.

Our volunteers utilize their down time by brushing up on skills that they may not always practice in the field. In order to properly use a tourniquet, it must be placed high and tight above the bleed. The purpose of it is to be able to control heavy bleeding.

Screaming a huge congratulations to our October member of the month Thomas Goldberg🎉

Thomas joined Ridgewood EMS as a probationary EMT this past spring, and has since cleared probation and successfully led a number of calls. He is extremely passionate about being able to help and looks forward to any assistance he can give the residents at any hour of the day or night.

Thomas believes that joining Ridgewood EMS has been one of the best decisions of his life. He is proud to be a part of the Tuesday night crew and looks forward to riding each week. Congratulations again Thomas, thank you for all that you do! 👏🏼

Screaming a huge congratulations to our September member of the month Hyeonseo Lee🎉

Hyeonseo joined the TIES program her freshman year of high school, and loved it so much that she went on to take the EMT course. Once completed, she began riding with the Sunday night ambulance crew and has been an active member ever since. Now entering her Senior year, Hyeonseo is proud to be an EMT for the village, as well as a TIES sergeant.

Being an EMT has not only allowed her to help the community, but has also helped her grow TIES into the biggest division of Ridgewood Emergency Services. Congratulations again Hyeonseo, thank you for all that you do! 👏🏼

Each shift, our crews take the time to run through at least one drill. By creating different scenarios, it helps our members prepare for a number of potential incidents that they might face on a call.

Screaming a huge congratulations to our August member of the month Chris Canone🎉

Chris recently received his National Registered EMT license, but has been a long standing member of Ridgewood Emergency Services. After months of EMT school, and riding as an Observer, he is excited to begin his journey as an official ambulance crew member.

Chris has always wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, and EMS is his first step in the healthcare direction. Congratulations again Chris, thank you for all that you do! 👏🏼
