The ICCFS Tournament has been innovated into a "Virtual" Tournament.

Dear Friends,
Thank you to all who signed up to volunteer to provide feedback to our students at the upcoming West Columbia and Winnsboro Tournament. In light of current global health conditions and out of an abundance of caution, we are innovating to host a Virtual Tournament. Due to this innovation and the technology we are using, your generous service will not be needed at our formerly in-person tournament.
The Institute for Cultural Communicators has a refreshing approach to preparing students to be ready for their future and that begins with caring well for others and our audience. We want to care well for YOU. Thanks for your support of our efforts to provide safe environments for ALL who participate.
We’ve been excited to share this opportunity with you and regret we won’t get to see you. I hope you'll be able to join us at a tournament next year or at our fall Communicators for Christ conference!

Come Evaluate the Round Table Event where you will listen to the young people of GO Forth, ONE Voice, of ICC as they collaborate to find solutions to "Plastic in the Oceans". March 21th at the ICCFS Tournament in West Columbia, SC.

You can have a front-row seat to this amazing display of problem-solving and critical thinking. (3 sessions will be facilitated in the morning).

ROUND TABLE TOURNAMENT EXERCISE

At ICCFS Tournaments, eligible speakers are randomly assigned to teams of 5-7 members that remain consistent throughout the tournament. A qualified Student Facilitator is assigned to each team.

Teams are seated around a table. Adult Evaluators are positioned around the outside to observe.

At the beginning of the initial round, all teams are given the same scenario. Over the course of three rounds, students are guided through the steps of ICC's problem-solving model to identify a problem, brainstorm a solution to that problem, and then make a plan of implementation. At the end of each round, the facilitator will present an executive summary to the evaluator.

Team Members and Facilitators receive written feedback for each of the three rounds. Certificates of Excellence and Invitations to the International Tournament are awarded to the top Facilitator(s) and individual Team Members. Top teams will be recognized at local tournaments.

Here’s a gift that’s invaluable. Give the young people in your life the gift of overcoming the greatest fear we all share of speaking in public. We all reap the benefit of their thoughts and ideas clearly expressed with confidence, conviction, and character. Our chapter would love to have you, but if you can’t join us start here. You’ll be so glad you did.

Congratulations, Jacob! He spoke on his very first community platform today. At 6 years old, he had to work really hard to memorize his lines, know what order they came in, and how to handle a notebook. That’s a big task for someone his age, but this guy took on the challenge with the best attitude and a determination to do his best. He put in the hard work to practice and practice some more. You were the example for us to follow today, Jacob! Way to go!

We’re celebrating a big milestone: a new student leader for our chapter! Congratulations, Madeline! We’re so proud of your hard work to be ready for new responsibilities and your desire to serve others in your chapter. Our students are learning that when you can communicate well, people see you as a leader. It matters what kind of leader you are.

One of the most valuable and exciting ways ICC helps ordinary students become extraordinary leaders is by coming alongside your whole family in mentorship and community.

Right now, we are enrolling new families in chapter membership and curriculum groups around the globe. These parent, teacher, and student leaders will receive:

▪dedicated mentoring and training
▪safe communities where growth can flourish
▪access to award-winning curriculum
▪discount pricing opportunities for our live events
▪integration of competence, character, and connection in their daily lives
▪student leadership opportunities with real responsibility and valuable experience

Our mission is to help ordinary students become extraordinary leaders, and we know that belonging to our local and global communities is the best way to do it. Talk to an Area Coordinator near you to discover how you can access all ICC has to offer as we raise up the next generation for influence.
