New “kids” on the block!!

Fertilizer production happens to be going well as planned. This is the stinky side of farming, but it is essential in our plans for expansion. We added cows, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, and Kune Kune pigs (which are grazing pigs), to our compost and fertilizer program. This will ensure healthy and organic fruit production. It may seem a little crappy, but it’s rewarding to the program.

Part of planting fruit trees is bees! Thanks to Daniel Barr, we are able to harvest a related product. These jars were made from our spring collection process. It’s not a lot right now, but the plan is to add more bees as we add more tress. Yes, I’m a poet who didn’t know it...

Sorry it’s been so long! Right now, we are clearing more land for Blueberries(Thanks Aunt Lizzie!), pears, plums, figs, and apples. I have a Small machine, but it’s doing big work on the farm! Daniel Barr has been tending to the bees so we can focus on clearing more land. Spring has sprung and there will be more pics to come. Thank you for your generous support!!!

Mulching the blueberries and raspberries, this weekend. It’s a small start, but it will grow from here. Slow and steady. It’s been tough turning a pine forest into an orchard, but we won’t stop until it’s finished.

Daniel Barr, inspecting the hive and installing a feeding system. He’s been hard at work with the first hive and has plans to expand hive presence on the property. This guy has a huge vision for honey production and insuring that plant pollination goes smoothly.

My Uncle David on the new tractor. There’s a ton of work to do, and this tractor will sure speed things up. Thanks to everyone who supports our mission and hope to post more often, now that we are planting again.
