2026-2027 MEET THE CANDIDATES

ALLISON WILSON is a Partner at Metro Mechanical, LLC where she oversees the company’s financial operations and day-to-day business management. A graduate of Mississippi State University, she earned both her Bachelor of Accountancy in 2008 and Master of Accountancy in 2009, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She began her professional career with BKD in Jackson. She has remained actively involved in the Society, serving as Young CPA Network President from 2014–2015. Her leadership within the organization has included roles as Chair of the Industry Committee and YCPA Liaison Committee, as well as terms on the Board of Governors representing both the Young CPA Network and the Central Chapter. She was also selected to participate in a special focus group for the Society’s Long Range Planning Retreat. Among her professional honors, she was recognized as a Silas Simmons CPA Exam Bronze Medal recipient and was a member of the Mississippi Association of Builders and Contractors Leadership Class of 2014. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is deeply involved in her community. She has served as an event organizer for Magnolia Speech School’s Annual Spring Golf Tournament since its inception in 2021 and is active in her church through the Children’s Welcome and Safety Team, Missions Committee, Life Group, and as a Children’s Choir teacher. She and her husband Drew live in Raymond with their two children, Kinley and Cooper.

ED MAXWELL graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Accountancy in 2009 and a Master of Taxation in 2010 and began his career at Haddox Reid in Jackson. In 2016, he joined the Oxford office of Watkins, Ward and Stafford PLLC. Through his leadership and direction, Ed has continued to excel and grow the staff and footprint of the firm within the Oxford community. It is no surprise that Ed was named as partner in 2020. His practice is concentrated in income tax preparation and planning, business accounting and advisory services, and non-profit audit and review services. He has extensive experience in working with a wide array of clients including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profit organizations. Ed has been active in the MSCPA for many years. His commitment includes serving on the Young CPA Network Board, the Awards, Education and Scholarships Committee, and as the Chair of the Firm Administration and Development Committee. He also represented the North Central Chapter on the Board of Governors. In 2022, Ed received the Rising Star Award. Ed is also actively involved in the Oxford community. 2026-2027 MEET THE CANDIDATES

DR. BILLY MOREHEAD began his career in education and higher education administration in 1995, teaching his first adjunct accounting class. Over 27 years, he held various positions with the State of Mississippi, including auditor, GAAP accounting specialist, CFO at Mississippi State Hospital and South Mississippi State Hospital, Vice President for Finance and Administration, Interim Business Dean, Chair, and Associate Professor of Accountancy at Delta State University, until his retirement from the state in 2011. Since then, Billy has been a Professor of Accountancy at Mississippi College, where he also serves as Director of the
Master of Accountancy Program and Director of the Center for Faith, Service, and Ethics. Billy holds a BBA in Accounting from Delta State University, a Master of Accountancy from Millsaps College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a licensed Certified Government Financial Manager. He was instrumental in launching the first online Master of Business Administration at Delta State in 2008 and the first online Master of Accountancy in Mississippi at MC in 2018. Billy has served the MSCPA in various capacities, including Treasurer, member of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors, current Chairman of the Governmental & Accounting Committee, and member of the Continuing Professional Education Committee. He has also been involved with the MSCPA Vision Committee, Legislative Committee, Health Care Services Committee, has presented at numerous MSCPA conferences, and is a member of the Delta and Central Chapters. He was the recipient of the 2025 Public Service Award. Earlier this year, Billy was appointed to the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) for a 5-year term. Billy and his wife, Audrey, live in Madison.

MEET THE CANDIDATES

KIMBERLY WILLIAMS is the Chief Financial Officer for Medical Management Services. In her position, she oversees the accounting for MEA Medical Clinics as well as other medical practices. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University and MBA from Mississippi College. Kimberly has been active in the MSCPA since she received her CPA license in 2013. She previously served as the Vice-President/Events Chair and was then elevated to Young CPA Network President. Under her leadership the Young CPA Network received the Mississippi Food Network’s Volunteer of the Year Award for
statewide participation in the MSCPA Annual Day of Service. Upon completion of her year as Young CPA Network President, Kimberly served on the Board of Governors for the MSCPA as the Young CPA Network representative, joined the Young CPA Liaison Committee, began serving as the Chair of the Industry Committee for several years, and currently chairs the Health Care Services Committee. She was also elected Treasurer of the MSCPA and served on the Executive Committee. She enjoys speaking to students on behalf of the MSCPA to promote leadership skills, the accounting profession, and the CPA designation. In 2018, Kimberly received the MSCPA’s Rising Star Award. Kimberly previously served on the Board of Ellipsis International, which is a non-profit organization. She is also active with the Mississippi Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, having served as the President and Board Member. She and her husband Drew chair the Mississippi Chapter of Medals for Mettle. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys volunteering at local organizations and supporting charities through 5k participation. Kimberly serves in the Preschool Ministry at the Madison Campus of Pinelake Church. Kimberly and Drew have two children, Emmy Grace and Whitt, and live in Madison.
