During Teacher Appreciation Week, the Madison County Schools Education Foundation was honored to join Madison County Community Trust in presenting $200 gas cards to teachers and staff at Luther Branson Elementary, Camden Elementary and East Flora Elementary.
Many employees at these schools travel long distances each day, and we hope this gesture helps ease some of that burden while showing appreciation for their dedication to students and families across Madison County.
This year, Madison County Community Trust – the charitable arm of the Madison County Business League and Foundation – doubled its commitment to the initiative, allowing the program to expand to East Flora Elementary while continuing support for Luther Branson and Camden Elementary. The Madison County Schools Education Foundation also contributed funds raised through its annual golf tournament fundraiser to help support the expansion. The gas card program now marks the fourth year of partnership between MCCT and the Foundation.
A special thank-you to Craddock Oil for loading the gas cards and waiving all fees so that every dollar could go directly to teachers and staff.
Representatives from the school district, Madison County Community Trust, Madison County Business League and Foundation, and Madison County Schools Education Foundation were grateful to attend the presentations and celebrate these deserving educators and staff members.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this initiative possible!
