At OPFOB, we’re fortunate to have incredible leaders who continue serving long after their time in uniform, and Morgan Strain is one of them.

A veteran, first responder, and leader of our Service Dog Program, Morgan has dedicated his life to helping others. Whether serving his community, supporting fellow veterans and first responders, or helping connect individuals with life-changing service dogs, his commitment to service never stops.

We’re proud to see Morgan featured in Pink Magazine and grateful for the impact he makes every day through our mission. His story is a powerful reminder that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off, it simply takes on a new form.

Take a few minutes to read Morgan’s story and learn more about the man behind the mission. 🇺🇸🐾

This may be PTSD Awareness Month, but let’s clear one thing up right now… Post Traumatic Stress isn’t a “Disorder.” It is your body’s natural reaction to a traumatic event.

This PTSD Awareness Month, let’s start to change that narrative to PTS. And it doesn’t always look the way people expect it to…

Sometimes it’s anger.
Sometimes it’s shutting down.
Sometimes it’s feeling disconnected from the people around you.

And sometimes it’s carrying things you’ve never talked about because you can’t find the words, or the strength, to explain them.

The calls end. The deployments end. The shifts end.

But for many veterans and first responders, the weight of those experiences doesn’t.

At OPFOB, we believe no one should have to carry that weight alone.

This month, we’re continuing the conversation around PTS, mental health, and the importance of staying connected to the people who understand that burden firsthand.

If you’re struggling, reach out to someone you trust: a brother, a battle buddy, or a friend who knows you well. You’ll be surprised how often your courage to speak up gives someone else the strength to do the same.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a day to remember the men and women who never made it home and to honor the sacrifice they made for this country and for each of us.

Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday to stand with us in remembrance. From the conversations over coffee and camaraderie, to the connections made throughout the day, to those who stayed and participated in our Grounds of Honor Memorial Clay Shoot — every moment mattered. That’s how we keep the legacy alive.

Today at 1:00 PM, join us in Hardeeville for the grand opening of Memorial Park as we continue honoring those who gave everything in service to this nation.

However you choose to spend today, spend it honorably. Live your life in a way that honors their sacrifice. Share their stories. Talk about their adventures. Pass down their memories. Keep their names alive.

The fallen are never forgotten as long as we continue to speak their names. 🇺🇸

Last weekend’s Fireside Jam Session was exactly what the FOB is all about.

Around 45 people came together for a laid-back evening filled with good food, great music, plenty of laughs, and even better company. The weather couldn’t have been better, the jam sessions rolled all night, and the camaraderie was real.

Big shoutout to our grill team, Rosie and Dave, for keeping everyone fed while the music played on.

This one confirmed it… we’re definitely doing more of these! Thanks to everyone who showed up, brought instruments, swapped stories, and made it such a great night at the barn, on purpose. 😉

We’re incredibly grateful to Palmetto Electric Cooperative and everyone who participates in their Round Up Program for continuing to stand behind the mission of OPFOB.

Their longtime support has made a real impact on the veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and families we serve. More than that, Palmetto Electric continues to show what it means to invest in and strengthen the community they serve every day.

Thank you for your partnership, your generosity, and for believing in this mission.

This Memorial Day, don’t just remember the sacrifice. Step up for the mission.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, OPFOB has a goal:
250 new members in the Save 22 Club.

Most people don’t think $22 a month makes a difference.

But here, it keeps a veteran connected.
It keeps a first responder engaged.
It keeps the doors open.
And it helps make sure no one fights alone.

Small commitment. Real impact.

$22/month = connection that saves lives.

We need YOU to Save 22. 🇺🇸

Huge thank you to Transport Services LLC for stepping up as the Lunch Sponsor for this Saturday’s Grounds of Honor | Memorial Clay Shoot. Support like this is what allows us to continue building meaningful events that bring people together in honor of those who gave everything. 🇺🇸

Also, a reminder to our shooting community: all open ranges will be closed Saturday for the event, and the only way to shoot will be by registering for the Memorial Clay Shoot.

A few team spots are still open if you want to be part of it.
