One of the missions that is very close to our hearts these days is providing non-lethal aid to Ukraine. We have worked there and will continue to in the future, and we have many friends and colleagues who are facing constant danger from shelling, as well as the lack of food and fuel during a cold winter. We appreciate any donations that we can use to help them!

The Rubicon Seven Foundation will aid Ukraine - Ukraine makes this world better. We will save those we love. Please help us with a donation.

Tedrowe and Marcia just returned from the International Permaculture Conference (IPC-UK) in London, England. Ted, who was the only speaker invited to give two presentations, spoke on "From Permaculture to Passive House: Cutting Edge Construction to Save Our Planet" and "Sociology and Permaculture: Marrying Two Distinct Fields." Marcia presented on "Permaculture and Children: A Future City Model." All three presentations were very well-received, and part of the many exciting presentations and workshops that took place over two weeks.

On February 16th, Tedrowe and Marcia will be judges for the Future City competition national finals in Washington DC. The Future City Competition is a national, project-based learning experience where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade imagine, design, and build cities of the future. Students work as a team with an educator and engineer mentor to plan cities using SimCity™ software; research and write solutions to an engineering problem; and build tabletop scale models with recycled materials. We're honored to be participating in this wonderful opportunity to interact with kids and their great ideas!

On June 24, 2014, Tedrowe and Marcia presented at the U Mass Amherst conference on Revisioning Sustainability. Ted spoke to a full house of students, administrators, and others interested in permaculture. The presentation, "Am I Happy Yet? A Sociological Perspective on Regenerative Development" used the Art House as an example. As always, it was wonderful to share our project, as well as making new connections with so many wonderful people!
