Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation The RPSF advances programs and activities that promote equity and support whole student development.

The RPSF was established in 2009 by a small group of parents looking for a way to fund programs and services in our schools otherwise are unfunded.

We are still buzzing from last night’s wonderful turnout at McMenamins Pub at Kalama Harbor Lodge! A massive thank you to our amazing community and McMenamins for their fundraising!

Because of your generosity, we are able to:

🎓 Fund student scholarships for drivers' education, college, trade schools, and post-high school training
🍎 Provide grants to enrich educational opportunities for students
🤝 Support the efforts of the Ridgefield Family Resource Center

Remember: McMenamins is donating 50 percent of all profits from dine-in food and drink sales during that time period. We’re teaming up with McMenamins for a Friends & Family Night! They are generously donating 50% of all dine-in food and drink sales directly to the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation.

Your dinner out helps fund:

At Tuesday night’s Board meeting, the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation presented a $23,000 check to the Ridgefield Family Resource Center! 👏💙🧡

This generous donation was made possible by the incredible support of our community during the annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Thanks to a record-breaking turnout, the event raised an amazing $46,000 this year!

Half of the proceeds directly support the Family Resource Center and the vital services it provides to local families. The other half funds a variety of programs and scholarships that benefit our schools, students, and staff across the district.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this event. Your generosity continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Ridgefield students and families.

As a follow-up to our January "Parenting, Anxiety, & Smart Phones" session, we are excited to invite families back for a Q & A discussion with Kevin Ashworth, M.A., LPC, focused on helping families put the information from the initial presentation into practice.

Event Details
Date: Wednesday, February 11
Time: 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Location: View Ridge Middle School Library
(Please note: this is a new location. The original presentation was held in the Black Box Theater.)

This session will provide an opportunity to ask questions, reflect on strategies discussed previously, and explore practical ways to support children and teens in navigating anxiety and smartphone use.

Childcare
Childcare will again be provided by staff from Right at School for families attending the presentation. Childcare is available for children ages 2½ to 10 who are able to use the restroom independently.
