RHS Interact Club

RHS Interact Club Humanitarian organization focusing on advocacy and helping the international community Interact Club is an RHS club that meets on Mondays at 2:15 in A220.

Meetings last for about 30 minutes and are weekly. In Interact we tackle many issues that are affecting the international community. Last year we staged a letter writing campaign for advocacy in the Sudan, sponsored the Genocide Assembly, raised money for Pennies for Peace, and held coffee houses and bake sales for Invisible Children (http://www.invisiblechildren.com/). This year Interact hopes to

sponsor an Invisible Children assembly, work closely with Invisible Children, and tackle some of the pressing issues in the Sudan. Interact is a fun way to make a difference on a more international scale. Advocacy plays a key role in Interact. Interact Club has a very secular outlook...and is also super awesome.

I'm sure you all know we have a long weekend coming up...which means you have an extra week to pick out the causes you would like to nominate for first semester! But the discussion isn't confined to just during meetings- if any one has any relevant links, videos, or just information about a cause or story that you would like to bring to the attention of the club, be sure to post it here

Since we don't have school next monday, our first meeting of the year will be on September 10th: Everyone should bring ideas about which organizations to support, and get as many people as possible to come!
