Funny that the movie was Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire because we were the opposite of frozen! It was a lovely warm evening that started with laughing, squealing kids and ended with a 👻 movie surround-sounded by katydids. We threw marshmallows into Slimer’s big mouth, we tossed pizza frisbees high into the sky, and we ran the fastest ghost races ever! Boy, did we run around a lot, partly to escape our pals’ marshmallow-sticky fingers! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏾‍➡️

Again our thanks to Legislator Chad Lennon for the funding support, Town of Brookhaven staff for setup of Longwood Estate, and Glenn & Kathy Paganetti for the cotton candy station. Coconut Island served up fantastic Jamaican food. Zag’s Photo Booth provided pictures, and Movies in the Moonlight showed the film.

Thanks to our Ridge Civic volunteers: Scott Wood and Felipe Chicas Carballo for setup; Holly Wood, Nora Adams & Mary Brooks for advertising; Ninette Kayton, Suzi Gregory, and Paige Conklin for staffing the event, and Robin & Mark Conklin for hanging in til the end and packing up 💪🏼! Micah Tvelia created the Slimer toss; he, Kai Tvelia and Allie Lauzardo helped set up & clean up. Thanks, everyone, for coming out to play with us! Hope you enjoyed the movie!!
