Dead Lake Association

Located in Ottertail County, MN DLA, is committed to the protection of the environment and the lake.

Dead Lake Association was incorporated as a non-profit corporation on July 16, 1990. In July 2003, it became a 501(c)(3) environmental education non-profit organization. Information is disseminated to lake porperty owners and the general public through our Web site, www.dead-lake.org, newsletters, articles in the Perham Enterprise Bulletin, pancakse breakfasts, association-sponsored functions and statewide meetings of lake stakeholders.

From what can be seen from boat launches and roads Dead Lake froze over yesterday. Prior to that there were still large areas of open water so ice is just getting started. Have a safe hard water season!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Dead Lake Association!

As we gather with family and friends today, we’re especially grateful for this wonderful community and the beautiful lake we all share. Thank you to every member, volunteer, neighbor, and friend who helps keep our shoreline thriving and our association strong throughout the year.

The Dead Lake Association Board is excited to announce our first fall photo contest!

Here are the rules:

*The photo must be from Dead Lake or have the lake in it. Please add a caption with the location so all can enjoy our beautiful lake!

*Post your photo submissions in the comments below by Oct 31st, 2025.

*Prize is a $50 gift certificate to the Dougout in Dent.

*Winning photograph will be selected by the Dead Lake Association Board. Board members are excluded from winning but may post their photos for fun!

We had a great time at the annual meeting/fundraiser! Sorry I didn't get more photos. If you have any, feel free to put them in the chat.

The winners of the raffles were:
Nicki for the .38 special and designer purse.
Dawn for the designer purse and $500 cash.
Taylor for the Yeti cooler and GIANT prime rib
Congratulations ladies!

The races and meat raffles were a hit too!
