Joan successfully graduated from Heshima and is now employed in a hair salon!!She is now able to pay her rent, provide for herself, and is steadily supporting her family. Even more beautiful is the transformation in her heart—she has grown in her relationship with the Lord and continues to walk in faith.

Joan’s story reminds us that when women are empowered with skills, discipleship, and opportunity, lives are transformed for generations.

Ugandan authorities cut internet access and limited mobile services across the country on Tuesday, two days before an election in which President Yoweri Museveni will stand for a contentious seventh term after four decades in power.
