💛🥫 Porch Pantry Update + Farmers Market Reminder 🍪💛

A huge thank you to the Good Samaritan who recently dropped off a Walmart gift card! Your kindness will help us purchase pantry favorites just in time for the weekend. 💚

As many of you know, weekends are some of our busiest days at the Little Porch Pantry. With school out and grocery prices continuing to stretch family budgets, the need remains high.

🍪 Don't forget! We'll be at the Richmond Farmers Market this weekend from 8–11 AM raising funds for the pantry through our homemade baked goods.

💛 A Little Porch Pantry Story 💛

One of the things that touches us most isn't the food taken from the pantry—it's the few dollars and loose change we sometimes find left in our mailbox.

Many times, we know it came from someone who recently needed help themselves.

A parent feeding their children. A veteran choosing between medication and groceries. A senior on a fixed income. Someone working hard but still struggling to make ends meet.

Please know this: you never need to pay us back. That's exactly why the pantry is here.

No questions. No judgment. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

To everyone who leaves a few dollars, sends a Venmo donation, drops off food, ships an Amazon order, or quietly stocks the shelves—thank you. You are making a difference in the lives of people you may never meet.

This pantry serves people who walk, ride bikes, drive lawnmowers, and drive cars. Different stories, different circumstances, but one common need: a little help.

💚 This pantry is more than food. It's proof that kindness still exists in our community.

I'll be shopping for the pantry tonight, and truthfully, we can't keep the shelves stocked right now.

With school out for the summer and grocery and gas prices continuing to rise, more families are stopping by each week for a little extra help. Many are working families who are simply trying to make it through the month.

It breaks my heart to see the need growing, but it also reminds me how incredible this community is when we come together.

If you're out shopping, please consider picking up a few extra items. If shopping isn't your thing, monetary donations help us fill the shelves with the items families need most.

Thanks to several amazing members of our community, the pantry is stocked once again! We are incredibly grateful for every donation that helps feed our neighbors.

With school out for the summer, the need is expected to grow as families provide more meals at home while also facing higher grocery and gas prices.

If you're out shopping this week, please consider picking up a few extra items. Have unopened pantry items your family won't use? We'd gladly put them to good use.

No time to shop? Monetary donations are always appreciated and help us purchase pantry favorites when supplies run low.

Because of your support, we’re excited to go shopping and restock some pantry favorites for our community!

As we all know, the economy, rising grocery prices, and gas prices are affecting everyone right now, and more families are needing a little extra help. Every donation — big or small — truly makes a difference. This is what community helping community looks like. 💚
