Our 1st–5th graders are having an incredible time exploring faith, friendship, and fun through our Wild Wild West-themed camp! From hands-on arts & crafts and Bible lessons to preparing a special skit for Celebration Night, these young cowboys and cowgirls are making memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge THANK YOU to PNC Bank (Richmond) for investing in our community through financial literacy education during Mission Week 2026 at the North Richmond Neighborhood Resource Center!

Community members participated in meaningful conversations about budgeting, saving, building credit, banking basics, and setting financial goals for a stronger future.

What an incredible day serving and praying alongside our community in North Richmond!

During Prayer Walk, volunteers walked through the neighborhood, praying for residents, encouraging families, and stopping to pray with anyone who desired prayer. It was a powerful reminder that small acts of faith can make a big impact.

A special THANK YOU to the youth and leaders from The Grove Church for bringing 20+ volunteers to serve during Mission Week 2026 at Friends of North Richmond. Your passion, compassion, and willingness to be the hands and feet of Jesus blessed so many people.

Because of your dedication, community members experienced hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ through meaningful conversations and prayer.

Yesterday, volunteers picked up paintbrushes, but what they were really painting was dignity, belonging, and hope.

This home belongs to a valued member of our community. As we refreshed its exterior, we were sending a powerful message: You are still seen. You are still loved. You still belong.

In the future, this home will also provide a place for church members who are navigating seasons of transition—a safe and welcoming space where they can find stability, support, and community.

What started as a fresh coat of paint became something much bigger. Together, we are creating a place where people can stay connected, find encouragement, and experience the love of Christ through practical service.

🌱 Mission Week 2026 | Day 1: Playground Mulching 🌱

Yesterday, volunteers came together to refresh the playground with fresh mulch, helping create a safer environment for the children, families, and community members who use this space every day.

What may look like spreading mulch is really about investing in people. Every bag moved, every rake pulled, and every hour served helps ensure that students in our programs have a safe place to play, learn, and grow.

🌱 Mission Week 2026 | Day 1

Today our team had the opportunity to serve at Preston Street Garden in North Richmond. What may look like a simple community garden is actually a source of hope, nourishment, and connection for local families.

We spent the day weeding, harvesting, and learning how fresh produce grown here is shared throughout the community. Every cucumber picked, every garden bed maintained, and every hour served helps provide healthy food for neighbors who need it most.

Mission isn’t always across the world—sometimes it’s right in our own backyard.

Thank you to everyone who served and made an impact today. We can’t wait to see what God does through the rest of Mission Week!
