As we look ahead at the winter forecast, we’re busy planning ways to support members of our community who may need extra help after a snowstorm. ❄️

Volunteer Prince William is recruiting Volunteer Snow Shovelers to assist senior citizens and adults with disabilities by clearing sidewalks and driveways after snowstorms.

Who can volunteer?
💙Volunteers ages 16 and older are welcome
💙Volunteers under 16 may participate with a parent

Volunteers must provide their own snow shovel.

Who Receives This Service:
❄️Senior citizens with critical medical needs such as dialysis/cancer treatment appointments
❄️Senior citizens receiving in-home care such as hospice or visiting caregivers
❄️Senior citizens who are disabled and unable to shovel snow
❄️Adult residents under 65 who are disabled
❄️All other senior citizens who are physically unable to shovel their walk/driveway

What to expect:
❄️Volunteers will be on call through March 31
❄️Shoveling typically takes place 1–3 days after a snowstorm

You’ll help vulnerable residents safely access critical medical appointments, home healthcare, and enter or exit their homes

You’ll get a great workout—and a warm fuzzy feeling—by making a real difference in someone’s life! 💙

To learn more or sign up, comment below, send us a message, or email
📧 [email protected]

Please be sure to indicate how far you’re willing to travel to shovel snow.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and continued support!

So much gratitude for the amazing students and staff at Moody Middle School 💛✨

In partnership with Start 1 Spark, students came together to assemble 100+ healthy snack kits to help fuel Richmond kids and student-athletes — each one filled with snacks, encouragement, and a whole lot of heart.

We’re so thankful to Serve Virginia and the Virginia Service Foundation for supporting this project and helping turn compassion into action. Seeing students support their peers in such a meaningful way is what community care is all about.

This is the kind of teamwork and generosity that keeps us inspired every day ✨
