Our Bike Adventure Club starts NEXT WEEK!!!

This is a weekly trail riding series open to all youth K-12, lunch and bikes are included but please bring your own bike if you'd like. All participants must know how to ride without training wheels!

TOMORROW!!!
Join us as we show up to support the Fall Line Trail. We are joining the local movement to push for a safe and accessible route through Bryan Park. While this section doesn't immediately impact us at Bellemeade, the Fall Line trail overall will play a pivotal role in increasing access to different parts of our city for our community members and families. Some of our bike shop team will be joining the ride departing from Forest Hill Park at 4:15 and we'd love to see you there. To learn more about the Fall Line Trail, visit falllinetrail.org.

On Saturday April 19th from 12-3pm, we will be having our second annual Youth Bike Swap!

There will have food, crafts, and of course bikes!!

🌳 This year, Riverside outfitters will be joining us and hosting a tree climbing demo for youth and families to try out.

🚴🏾 From 12-1:30, youth will be able to trade in their old and outgrown bikes. Then starting at 2pm we will be doing a giveaway of all the bikes we have left from the swap. Bikes will be available on a first come first serve basis, so come early!

🛠️ We need volunteers!!! We need folks to help us with different activity stations, but especially bike mechanics to help with the bike swap. If you're interested, you can sign up at bit.ly/ybs25.

💪🏾 We are still accepting bike donations for this event! Thos can be dropped off during our shop open hours, Wednesday to Friday 2-6pm. If you need to coordinate an alternative drop off time, you can send us a dm or email at [email protected]

El sábado 19 de abril, de 12 a 15 horas, tendremos nuestro segundo intercambio anual de bicicletas para jóvenes!

¡Habrá comida, artesanía y por supuesto bicicletas!

🌳 Este año, Riverside Outfitters se unirán a nosotros y organizarán una demostración de escalada de árboles para que los jóvenes y las familias la prueben.

🚴🏾 De 12:00 a 13:30, los jóvenes podrán intercambiar sus bicicletas viejas y que ya no les queden. A partir de las 14:00, haremos un sorteo con todas las bicicletas que nos queden del intercambio. Las bicicletas estarán disponibles por orden de llegada, ¡así que vengan temprano!

🛠️ ¡Necesitamos voluntarios! Necesitamos gente que nos ayude con las diferentes estaciones de actividades, pero sobre todo, mecánicos de bicicletas para ayudar con el intercambio de bicicletas. Si te interesa, puedes inscribirte en bit.ly/ybs25.

💪🏾 ¡Seguimos aceptando donaciones de bicicletas para este evento! Pueden entregarlas durante el horario de apertura de nuestra tienda, de miércoles a viernes de 14:00 a 18:00 h. It's spring break!! And we've got some fun adventures lined up to make the most of this beautiful week. 🌞

TOMORROW we will be hitting Belle Isle with Green Team to do some trail riding and exploring. This trip is open to all youth 12+.

Friday: We will be heading back to JRPS to enjoy the trails and the river. This is open to ALL youth k-12

We will be meeting up at the Bellemeade Community Bike Shop at 10:30 and rolling out around 10:45. Bikes and lunch are included! Please make sure to bring a water and a bag if you'd like.

Registrations are officially opened for our next Build-a-Bike session in partnership with the Bellemeade Community Center!

🔧 This 10 week program gives youth a chance to learn how to fully deconstruct, repaint, and rebuild a bike of their choosing

🏫 We will be meeting at the Community Center from 6-7:30 every tuesday evening starting February 11th to April 15th

🧑‍🔧 Participants who complete the program will be invited to apply to be a Youth Mechanic at our Bellemeade Community Bike Shop for the Spring/summer

Next Monday!! We'll be taking a quick little bike trip to Belle Isle. We will be leaving from the Bellemeade Community Bike Shop at 11am and coming back by 1pm. Lunch and bikes will be provided. Register in the link in the description!
