๐ŸŒŸ Scouts in Action ๐ŸŒŸ
When preparation meets character, incredible things happen.

During this Winter Camp, one of our Scouts suffered a fractured ankle. Thanks to the quick thinking, calm leadership, and hands-on knowledge of two fellow Scouts โ€“ Talriq Jackson (Scout Rank) and Mason Molina (Scout Rank) โ€“ the situation was handled with care and confidence. Drawing on what they learned in their First Aid Merit Badge, taught by our very own scout leader, Jonathan Davis, these Scouts assessed the injury, provided immediate assistance, and safely helped their fellow Scout return to home base so he could receive further medical care.

This moment is a powerful reminder that merit badges are more than requirements. They are life skills. The diligence these Scouts showed in retaining their training and applying it under pressure made a real difference when it mattered most.
We are incredibly proud of these young leaders for living the Scout Oath and Law through action, compassion, and preparedness. Well done! ๐Ÿ‘

โšœ๏ธ Prepared. Capable. Caring. โšœ๏ธ

Our Scouts have been incredibly productive during this time, completing training and earning:

๐Ÿ”น Rank: Eagle Scout

What do you love most about Scouting?
โ€œI love being able to help people advance in what they enjoy, because it lets me put all the achievements Iโ€™ve made into good use for the sake of others.โ€

What advice would you give a new Scout?

๐ŸŽ‰ Big Achievements for Troop 1880! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our August Court of Honor was filled with milestones, memories, and momentum as we celebrated the dedication and accomplishments of our Scouts since May. We proudly recognized seven rank advancements, including four Scouts achieving the Scout rank, one advancing to First Class, two reaching Life rank, and a very special congratulations to our newest Eagle Scout with seven Palms โ€” an incredible achievement! In addition to these advancements, 25 Scouts earned a total of 97 merit badges, exploring topics ranging from Archery and Sustainability to Health Care Professions.

The summer months also brought plenty of adventure, with Scouts attending Camp Rainey Mountain in Georgia and taking on the Florida Sea Base experience. Our Sea Base crew earned the Castaway Club, Kayaking, and Snorkeling Awards, while also making progress toward the prestigious S.C.E.N.E.S. Ambassador Award (Scout Centres of Excellence for Nature, Environment, and Sustainability). Leadership growth was another highlight of the season, as one of our Scouts completed National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), strengthening skills that will benefit the entire troop.

This Court of Honor was truly a night of recognition, growth, and celebration. We are proud of every Scout, leader, and family who continues to make Troop 1880 strong!
