What is Mary’s Choice RVA? Mary’s Choice RVA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in Richmond, VA that will provide community living and support for women in crisis pregnancies based on the foundation of love and service to Christ. Mary’s Choice RVA is modeled on Mary’s Shelter in Fredericksburg, VA.

eption by providing women in crisis pregnancies a nurturing safe home with support services, educational opportunities, and access to health services to empower them in their journey toward independence and self-respect. Responding to Christ’s call to love as He loves and through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Mary’s Choice RVA will advance the Culture of Life by establishing a loving, safe and supportive home to transform the lives of women experiencing a crisis pregnancy and offering them a new beginning.

Mary’s Choice RVA is founded upon the belief that all human life, from the moment of conception, is sacred and created by God in His image. Based this inherent core value, we seek to provide this corporal work of mercy to young women in crisis pregnancies by:

Teaching that they are blessed and loved by God who has a plan for their lives;
Offering a safe and healthy environment;
Implementing accepted best practices consistent with our values in all areas of our operations and services;
Being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. Our Planned Program
During their stay at Mary’s Choice RVA, mothers will receive on-site counseling, and educational programs covering issues of health, nutrition, parenting, job training, financial literacy and budgeting. Our programs will provide guidance to these mothers designed to foster a positive self image for themselves and their children and to promote self sufficiency so that they can successfully assimilate with their young families back into the community.
�Who will Mary’s Choice RVA serve? Mary’s Choice RVA will serve pregnant women 18 years and older who are in need of housing. Mothers must be willing to reside in a community-living environment and to abide by the home’s norms and expectations. They must be free from drugs or alcohol and from diagnosed mental illness (severe). Mary’s Choice is rooted in love for Jesus Christ and will base all its programs in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church which means that its services will be open to mothers of all faiths.
