Afghan Student Organization at VCU Organization to gather the Afghan community at Virginia Commonwealth University and to spread the word about our culture and history

The mission of A*O is to educate and spread positive awareness about Afghanistan's history, people, and the different and diverse cultures. We strive to achieve these goals through the successful planning and implementation of various social and educational events through the guidance and funding of the SGA and the University. All of our events are open to the entire student body, faculty, and sta

ff. We hope to bring awareness and education about Afghanistan as a country of rich culture and history and not a battlefield. Anyone is more than welcome to join this group and attend our events throughout the semester. Currently we are sponsored through the Office of Multicultural Students Affairs at VCU.
