And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. ~ Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

👀 A little peek behind the scenes at HEAV! Convention planning is underway, and it takes a whole team (and plenty of ideas!) to start bringing it all together.

We’re sharing a few moments from our kickoff meeting because there’s a lot happening behind the scenes long before we welcome homeschool families to Richmond in June.

🥳We’re excited to get things rolling!

🏛️ What if your homeschool could step inside the place where Virginia’s laws are made? At HEAV’s Day at the Capitol, history and civics move beyond the textbook. Families can explore Virginia’s Capitol, learn more about how a bill becomes a law, and experience the places where our state’s government works firsthand. An immersive educational experience to remember!

With Election Day approaching, it’s a timely opportunity to help your children connect what they’re learning about government and citizenship with the real world.

You don’t need musical training or a house full of instruments to enjoy music together. Folk songs, hymns, and classical compositions can open doors to history, nature study, literature, and even science. A little listening, singing, and curiosity can turn an ordinary autumn afternoon into a memorable learning experience.

You may find that these small moments become treasured family traditions: https://bit.ly/4zM9jbg

We were glad to be part of the Homesteaders of America Conference, connecting with people who care about homesteading, self-sufficiency, and learning beyond the traditional classroom.

Homeschooling and homesteading often have a lot of common ground: learning practical skills, exploring new interests, and finding meaningful ways to learn together as a family.

We love opportunities to connect with the homeschooling community. Would you like to see HEAV at an event in your area? Tell us about it!
