NAIFA-VA Advocacy in Action! On Friday our current President Bentley Heese and Past President Jimmy Jacobs had a very positive and productive meeting with US Representative Rob Wittman. They discussed current issues affecting our clients (and small businesses) including tariffs, healthcare, and Social Security. Jimmy even brought a client in to tell his real life story. NAIFA is more than an association for financial advisors. It’s also a family of practitioners that holds one another accountable for uplifting the profession. An example of this is the various peer-reviewed aspects of distinction that members in the industry can take advantage of to instill credibility and trust, such as the Young Advisor Team’s (“YAT”) Leader of the Year Award. If you are 45 years of age or less and have been in the industry for five years or less, the Leader of the Year is a distinction that recognizes a member’s commitment to NAIFA and the industry through service, education, charitable work, and more. During those initial critical years in business, few things can relay service and commitment more than being designated the YAT Leader of the Year, and membership to NAIFA fast-tracks you to being differentiated in this special way.
