🍉🎉 Happy Community Thursday! This Saturday, Dorey Park is the place to be for a fun-filled weekend kickoff! 👩‍🌾 Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Dorey Park Farmers Market and cast a line during 🐟 FREE fishing Saturday!

Come out and support local farmers and artisans on June 7th (9 am - Noon)! Fill your bags with juicy berries 🍓, seasonal produce, roasted coffee ☕, local honey 🍯, handmade soaps 🧼, baked treats 🍰, handcrafted goods, and more, including:

🎶 Live music
🚂 Barrel Train Rides
🎉 Kid Zone fun (face painting & more!)
🧘 Community yoga
💦 Water spray park (bring a towel!)
🎣 FREE Fishing from (9 am - 3 pm)

However you choose to explore the outdoors, National Trails Day is the perfect excuse to get outside, enjoy your favorite trail, and celebrate the trails that connect our communities and inspire outdoor adventure. We hope you'll join us on June 6!

📜 Happy Community Thursday! Step back in time at Fort Pocahontas during the annual "Action at Wilson's Wharf" Civil War Reenactment, taking place June 6–7 in Charles City County.

Located less than two miles south of the Capital Trail near MM 15, this annual living history event commemorates the 1864 victory of the U.S. Colored Troops (USCT) at Wilson’s Wharf. ⚔️ Experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the Civil War era through battle reenactments, living history camps, and educational programs.

📅 Saturday, June 6 | 10 am - 4 pm
📅 Sunday, June 7 | 10 am - 3 pm

Visitors can enjoy:
⚔️ Battle reenactments
🏕️ Living history demonstrations

🚤 All aboard for an evening of adventure! Experience the Capital Trail like never before - from the water! 🌅 Join us on Thursday, May 28th, for Cap Trail 101 with Riverfront Canal Cruises! 🌿

We’re teaming up with Venture Richmond and Riverfront Canal Cruises for a relaxing cruise as we share the story of the Trail from where it began to the impact it continues to have across the region. Sit back, relax, and cruise along the scenic James River and Kanawha Canal, while uncovering the history, fun facts, and stories behind the Virginia Capital Trail. 🛶🏃🏻‍♀️🏡🚴🏿
