900 Nourishment Kits - 2 incredible volunteer groups - 1 amazing day of service.

We couldn’t be more grateful to the students, faculty, and staff of VCU who joined us at the VCU Health Hub at 25th for VCU’s Day of Service.

Volunteers packed 900 Nourishment Kits for individuals receiving services through RBHA. Filled with easy-to-eat food items, these kits provide practical support for people who may be experiencing food insecurity or simply need a little extra help during a difficult day.

Thank you, VCU, for showing up in such a big way - giving your time, working side by side, and caring for our community.

Richmond Behavioral Health Foundation was proud to fund the summer program that helped make this special project possible.

The new Buddy Bench at Fairfield Court Elementary School may be a simple idea, but its message is powerful: you are not alone, you belong, and there is always room for connection.

This is what community investment can look like - creating opportunities that support the social and emotional well-being of children and help build stronger, more connected communities.

Today, RBHA and RBHF had the pleasure of meeting with the team at the VCU Health Hub in Richmond’s East End to explore opportunities for collaboration and discuss ways we can better serve our community together.
Strong community partnerships are essential to improving access, strengthening services, and creating healthier outcomes for those we serve. We appreciate the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and build relationships that help move our community forward.

Today, it’s worse.

Changes to SNAP are causing more people to lose access to food and healthcare - and we’re seeing the impact in real time.
