Sometimes growth looks like taking one more step—even when you’re nervous, unsure, or ready to come back down.

During our rock-climbing experience, we got to witness one of those moments firsthand. What started outside of her comfort zone became an opportunity to push past fear, trust herself, and discover just how capable she really is. 💜

These are the moments we love to see—the ones where confidence is built in real time.

Because growth doesn’t always happen where it’s comfortable. Sometimes, you have to climb for it. 🧗🏾‍♀️🦋

Adventure looks good on us! 🚣🏾‍♀️💜

Our girls hit the water for a day of rafting, teamwork, laughter, and a little adventure along the way! Experiences like these give our girls the opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and create memories together.

Because sometimes growth looks like stepping outside your comfort zone… and sometimes it looks like grabbing a paddle and getting in the boat. 😂🌊

Girls2Women-VA is recruiting mentors!

The beating heart of our organization is our mentors. It is through them that G2W-VA is able to realize our mission of empowering girls and women in our community. We rely on the guidance, inspiration, and passion that mentors bring!

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a mentor, we are hosting the following Mentor Trainings:

✅ Saturday, August 15 from 9:00AM – 3:00PM at Central Library
✅ Saturday, August 29 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM at North Courthouse Rd Library

📣Girls2Women-VA is hiring! 📣

We are looking for qualified applicants to join our team as a Circle Facilitator!

The Circle Facilitator's primary role is the facilitation of Girls2Women-VA circles in the designated service area. The Circle Facilitator plans and coordinates circle activities, manages mentors in the service area, coordinates with school liaisons, and builds community partnerships. Qualified applicants have experience with group facilitation, preferably in youth services.

If you are passionate about nonprofit service and making an impact in the lives of girls in the Greater Richmond community, we encourage you to apply!

Girls2Women-VA has a new Board member!

Eboni Allen joins our Board’s Social Media and Marketing team, helping to share the organization's mission through digital storytelling, community engagement, and strategic communications.

She is a full time high school biology teacher with nearly a decade of experience in education. She is passionate about creating opportunities that empower young women to grow in confidence, leadership, and purpose.

Through both education and nonprofit service, Eboni believes in using her gifts to inspire others, build meaningful connections, and amplify stories that create lasting impact.

She is honored to support Girls2Women-VA in its mission to mentor and empower the next generation of young women, and we are ecstatic to have her!
