We had the right day.

WOW! What a day so much love and happiness. Thank you all! The fishing could have been better but it didn't seem to matter. I had kids running up and sharing their excitement with what they did catch. One young girl chasing grasssnakes and I teased her, catch it and she did! I watched her handle it gently and release it. We had an Osprey swoop down and catch a trout. I watched the video Rodger Lavallee gave me and smiled when I heard the cheers from the kids. This was why I started this program, outdoor education without electronics.In conclusion thank you to those that agreed to be involved and keep this derby going. Thank you to all that help every year to make this possible.

So tomorrow is a very exciting day for us. We get to see all your smiling faces get to see all the laughter and hopefully catching a lot of fish. Sadly this is the last one that I will share with you this is the last tournament that I will be putting on and I hope somebody takes this over and keeps it going forever thought I'd share that now so we don't have to do it tomorrow let's just have fun and smile.

If you are inviting friends jus make sure they are registered. We are a few days away and my last one. I don't want someone to not win a prize bag. The weather looks great. Please remember to be there by 7 am first thing we will do is hand out prize tickets.

Join Us for a Day of Fun in the Sun!

Get your children off the couch and outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine! We're excited to invite you to our annual kids fishing derby, where kids can learn about ecology while having a blast. Let's put the game consoles away and embrace the great outdoors!

Event Details:

 Date: April 18, 2026 (Rain Date: April 19)

 Activities:

 Giving away four fishing charters!

 Participate in fun ecology classes.

 Free hot dog BBQ
