‼️ The NSO executive committee has voted unanimously to impose sanctions – including a boycott – on the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) in response to the ongoing crisis impacting union staff in the state‼️

As part of these sanctions, all NSO members are prohibited 🚫 from applying for vacant positions at ISTA and from participating in any shared staffing ❌ efforts connected to the state.

Solidarity with FSO!

Our contract is clear: discipline must meet the standard of just cause.
But recently, FEA leadership has failed to uphold the basics of due process:
❌ No clear notice of any rule violation
❌ No proof—most of the evidence was withheld
❌ No progressive discipline
❌ No consideration of 24+ years of dedicated service

This isn’t just a technicality—it’s a fundamental protection for every FSO member. When employers ignore just cause, they undermine the rights we fight to protect.
We’re calling on FEA to Do Better!

This past weekend, VPSA was represented at the National Staff Organization RA in New Orleans by Vickie Kitts-Blevins, Dr. Toney McNair, and Chandra Smith. A great time was had spending time with each other, NSO union siblings, and being a part of the business of the union.

Solidarity with Louisiana State Staff Organization - LASSO!

When Louisiana Association of Educators (LAE) management decided that transparency, fairness, and their own staff contract were optional, LASSO and NSO decided enough was enough.

💥 TL;DR:
NSO sanctions LAE. Boycott the April 15 shared staffing call for Louisiana. Stand strong with our LASSO siblings.
