A Peace Of Me Our mission is simple - to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

🌧️ 🖤 RAIN OR SHINE, THE LOVE DOESN’T STOP! 🖤 🌧️ 75 members of our community served.

The rain didn’t stop us, and it certainly didn’t stop the need in our community. 🙏🏽

Saturday was a reminder that serving others isn’t always convenient, the weather isn’t always perfect, and the conditions aren’t always ideal. But when your heart is in the right place, you show up anyway.

At A Peace Of Me, we believe that people deserve to be seen, supported, and cared for no matter what the forecast looks like. Every person standing in that line is somebody’s family, somebody’s friend, and somebody who deserves compassion, dignity, and a helping hand.

So, whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring, we’re going to keep showing up, keep giving, and keep doing our part to lift up our community. One person, one family, and one act of kindness at a time 🖤

A Peace Of Me was blessed to serve over 120 people at our September community event. Seeing the line grow, watching people leave with what they needed, and knowing that every meal, bag, and helping hand made a difference is what this work is all about.

We don’t do this for recognition. We do it because people matter.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, showed up, shared our posts, or simply believed in the mission. We truly couldn’t do this without you. 🙏🏽

Last week, we put out a call for help for a second grader who just needed a little extra support getting ready for school.

And guess what? Y’all answered! 🙌🏾

Because of the love and generosity of this community, this little guy is walking into a new school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to shine! 🎒📚

WOW… 136 MORE PEOPLE 🥹

This past Saturday, another 136 people showed up and allowed us to do what we love—serve our community. That brings us to OVER 250 MEALS SERVED in just ONE WEEK! 🙏🏾

Honestly… WOW. Sometimes we get so caught up in serving that we have to stop and take a moment to realize just how many people are being reached. Every plate represents a person, a family, a need, and a reminder that somebody cares.

And to our incredible team and volunteers, THANK YOU. Your time, your energy, your willingness to show up and serve is what makes this possible. We could not do this without you.

To everyone who continues to donate, volunteer, share our posts, encourage us, or simply believe in the work we’re doing—we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re grateful for you.

This is bigger than food. It’s about community. It’s about showing up. It’s about letting people know they are not forgotten.

Another successfully community dinner ✅☺️

Last night we were able to pass out 120 dinners to families in our community, and we couldn’t have done it without some amazing people behind the scenes!

A huge THANK YOU to Chef Vic for putting together a wonderful meal, our incredible volunteers for showing up and helping us serve, and the Salvation Army for continuing to open their doors and give us a place to serve our community.

If you missed us last night… don’t worry, we’re not done yet! 😜

We’ll be back THIS SATURDAY, August 15th at 9 AM in the Salvation Army parking lot at 2 W Grace Street.

Come grab a plate, come say hello, and bring somebody with you who could use a little love and a hot meal. 🖤

🚨 COMMUNITY DINNER TOMORROW! 🚨

Tomorrow, August 12th, A Peace Of Me is back in the community serving up a hot, fresh dinner for anyone who could use a plate.

📍 The Salvation Army Citadel Church
5327 Orcutt Lane, Richmond, VA 23224
⏰ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (or until we run out)

🍽️ Tomorrow’s Menu: 😋
🍗 BBQ Chicken
🥔 Roasted Potatoes
🫛 String Beans / Brussel Sprouts
🧀 Mac & Cheese

We’ll also be handing out school supplies and personal hygiene products while supplies last. 🎒🧼
