💵 Economics and Personal Finance Daycamp – Hampton Roads | $50 stipend

Spend a day building your toolkit with fresh ideas, engaging lessons, and resources you can take straight back to your classroom.

This daylong professional development program is designed to make teaching economics and personal finance practical, relevant, and engaging. Explore classroom-ready lessons covering scarcity, supply and demand, competition, credit, investing, taxes, behavioral finance, and more, all connected to Virginia’s Economics and Personal Finance standards (EPF.1–EPF.18), Civics and Economics standards (CE.11–CE.14), and other courses where these concepts are embedded.

You’ll leave with new resources, ready-to-use materials, and ideas you can put into action right away. Plus, participants receive six hours of professional development, a $50 stipend, breakfast, lunch, and complimentary parking.

The Virginia Council on Economic Education is now accepting nominations for the Virginia Economic Educator Awards, recognizing educators who inspire students through economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship.

Awards include:
• Virginia Outstanding Economic Educator Award for any Virginia K–12 teacher integrating economics, personal finance, or entrepreneurship into their classroom, regardless of subject area.
• VCEE Outstanding Lesson, Unit, or Performance-Based Assessment for educators who have developed an original lesson, instructional unit, or performance-based assessment in economics, personal finance, or entrepreneurship.
