Purposes:
1. Establishing and helping to establish co-operative housing by providing research, advice, and resources, including financial assistance.
2. Pursuing a more just relationship between property owners and residents, including
a. Developing and supporting accountability processes;
b. Rewarding community engagement;
c. Requiring adherence to fair market rents;
d. Encouraging consensus-b
ased decision making;
e. Championing standards of autonomy for Residents; and
f. Maintaining financial transparency.
3. Connecting a community of cooperatives by affiliating with other co-operatives, non-profits, and other related organizations for the exchange of information and resources;
4. Providing resources, services, and administrative support to its Members and associated properties;
and
5. Educating Members and the general public about the benefits of co-operatives, principles and procedures of co-operative organizations, and social justice concerns.
