Last Saturday I was able to direct my 10th Spencer County Fair Pageant!!!

In the past decade, I’ve learned so many things while directing pageants!

It’s something that ignites my passion and purpose. Seeing the women pray prior to taking stage never gets old. Spending a day with these daughters and moms who chase an elusive County Fair title is a gift.

All the new royalty has been crowned and I am excited to spend a year with them, cheering them on at their state competitions and building relationships that will last long after state and for years to come.

Putting this annual event on takes much more than a day to plan and is a role of service I’ve adored and will continue to for as many years as I can!

Day 4 and 5 together for the Amerifest photo challenge!

The reason I chose to compete at Amerifest is because the system holds such a special place in my heart. I have held multiple state titles with the Amerifest organization in Kentucky, and to continue to represent this system with another national title is definitely a goal I would love to accomplish.

The ‘It’s more than just’ motto is something that resonates with me as I feel that women’s pageantry taught me the true meaning of pageantry; which is to do for others, to serve others.

As a teacher, I’ve always had a servant’s heart, but women’s pageantry gave me the opportunity to do more than just serve my students, but serve so many others. It gave me the opportunity to connect with multiple nonprofit organizations to mentor youth and teach them that service & volunteerism can be so rewarding. (I included all my crown and sash pics that the fabulous Amerifest sponsor Cook studio has taken over my multiple titles with Amerifest.)

Day 5: A sneak peek of my wardrobe: everything I am wearing is something most everyone has seen me in! So I will give a peek at my gala outfit which I am so pumped about. (Gala dress cropped pic included)

Can’t believe it’s nearly time.

Photo challenge leading up to AmeriFest, Day 3, Best friends pageant edition: You can never surround yourself with too many friends. The pageant world has provided me with a family of friends.

Some of those friends would be there for me at the drop of a hat if needed and I found that out recently while traveling across the country. They helped me by taking back some luggage I couldn’t fit!!

My best friends are obviously my styling team. I love those girls more than anything and would do anything for each of them.

Never take your friends for granted in any area of life! Each one of the friends I have met were placed in my life for a purpose.

In a little over a week I’ll be headed to Cherokee, NC to compete for my 2nd National title with AmeriFest. My 6th title. This system is more than just a system to me. It’s a family that I love and adore. To hold a title with them is like coming home. I have been so blessed to be the Ms. Ky Bluegrass Woman and to be the next AmeriFest US woman would be a dream come true. It’s not just another crown, it’s an opportunity to be apart of something so much more. I hope I am able to show the judges my will to represent this system I have loved representing for the last decade.
