The Salvation Army of Richmond is announcing a change in local leadership as Captains Kevin & Wendy Justice conclude seven years of faithful ministry and service in our community. Their leadership has strengthened programs, supported families in need, and guided disaster relief efforts following the devastating Eastern Kentucky floods in 2022. Richmond has been blessed by their compassion, dedication, and heart for people.

As we express our gratitude to the Justices, we also look forward to welcoming Lieutenants Josh & Stephanie Brice, who will assume leadership beginning June 22. Recent graduates of Evangeline Booth College — and proud Kentuckians from Owensboro — the Brices are excited to return to their home state and begin serving the Richmond community through ministry, relationship‑building, and practical acts of compassion.

We invite the community to join us as we officially welcome them into our church and community.
Welcome Service — Sunday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m.
📍 1675 E. Main Street, Richmond

Help us give the Brice family a warm Richmond welcome as they begin this new chapter of ministry.

For millions of children, school lunches are the only reliable meals of the day. When summer break begins, a season of uncertainty starts for families already struggling to make ends meet.

The Salvation Army is working hard to bridge the gap and ensure no child goes hungry this summer—but we can’t do it alone. Your support allows us to provide critical relief exactly where and when it is needed most.

You can change a child's summer. Please consider making a donation today.

How often do we rush past love we haven't stopped to receive?

Paul doesn't just describe God's love — he prays we would have the power to grasp it. As if it takes something in us to truly take it in. There is a love that holds you that has no edges, no conditions, no end. May that be more than something you believe — may it be something you know.

Summer should be a time for kids to thrive, not fall behind.

For many children in our community, the months away from school can mean real setbacks. That's why the programs we run here at The Salvation Army of Richmond matter so much. When kids have a safe, supportive place to learn and grow, everything changes.

Growth doesn't have to pause when school ends. Your gift helps us keep our doors open for the kids who need it most, funding the staff, the resources, and the moments that add up to real change in a child's life.Support our kids programs today: https://tinyurl.com/mr3s48p3
