Exciting news from the Gateway Region!

📢 Big updates from Virginia’s Gateway Region! With support from a GO Virginia grant, we’re moving forward to identify new industrial sites — meeting the growing demand for properties with strong power access. This aligns with GO Virginia’s mission to bring business, education and government together to strengthen opportunity across our region.

We’re also hitting the road this fall and showcasing our expanded region to decision makers in advanced manufacturing, biomedical production, agtech and more. And as we prepare our next five-year strategic plan, we’re working closely with stakeholders to evaluate, improve and expand the value we bring to our investors and communities.

Check out the latest wins, including:

✅ Expansion with Emporia, Brunswick County & Greensville County
✅ A $3M Civica Rx insulin manufacturing partnership in Petersburg
✅ Tripoint’s grand opening as the region’s newest logistics hub
✅ Exploring adult education models for workforce readiness
