"Help ME Help You"

"Help ME Help You" What is HMHY? Our mission is to help ex offenders excel in professionalism and the job market by increasing their education, skills, and training.
(1)

HMHY is a non profit organization who takes a wholistic approach in providing navigation continuum of care services to those who have been justice involved and their families. Help Me Help You foundation (HMHY) is a public foundation created to assist in stopping the ever growing cycle of violence, self worthlessness, illegal transactions, and other demeaning activities in low income communities.

In a United States with the highest incarceration rate of any civilized nation as well as a recidivism rate that suggests that incarceration is anything but rehabilitative- HMHY seeks to position itself as a solution to the problem and not just an articulator of one; HMHY seeks to partner with individuals and entities to bring power back to the lives of former offenders. Empowerment comes in many forms: political, emotional, social, spiritual and economical; HMHY seeks holistic empowerment to bring about holistic change.

Freedom doesn’t start at the prison gates, it begins with opportunity, support, and community.

We’re proud to see our LEE Supervisor, Shakil Ali, joining this important panel conversation on reentry and what liberation truly looks like after incarceration.

Conversations like these are critical as we continue working toward stronger communities, second chances, and real support for returning citizens.

If you’re in the area, be sure to attend this powerful discussion.

Healing happens in community.
Every Wednesday from 6:00–7:30 PM, we host our Peer Recovery Workshop, creating a safe space for our participants to grow, reflect, and support one another through their recovery journey.

These conversations matter.
This community matters.
And the work being done here is life-changing.

Proud of everyone who shows up, leans in, and chooses progress one week at a time. 💙

📍 Every Wednesday | 6:00–7:30 PM
🤝 Hosted by Shakil Ali. Purpose-driven. Community-centered.

This Wednesday, we celebrated 30 participants in our Guaranteed Income Closing Ceremony, marking the completion of a two-year initiative that provided monthly support to justice-involved residents, helping them build stability, confidence, and a foundation for economic mobility.

Witnessing their growth reaffirmed that opportunity paired with determination can truly change lives. This is more than a program, it’s proof that when we invest in people, we invest in progress. 💙
