We are a group of family and friends that pass out donations, such as food, water, blankets, shoes, clothing, toiletries, etc. Donations are always appreciated. We couldn't do this without your support. It's not a "hand out", it's a "hand up". Years ago I met a wonderful man, named Jesse. Jesse was a Dessert Storm Veteran; he never expected to come home to no home. Jesse came home from Dessert Sto
rm and his wife divorced him, sold the house, sold the vehicles, and moved somewhere. Jesse didn't have any other family, and didn't know anyone in Richmond. (They had just moved to Richmond right before Jesse was shipped off to war) He found himself homeless; in the blink of an eye. By the time that I met and got to know him, he had been living on the streets for years. All Jesse wanted was help getting on his feet. I eventually I found him a home through Veterans Affairs; I was helping him with food and water, frequently. Well, I went to let Jesse know about his new home and found out that he had frozen to death. Since before I met my friend Jesse, the homeless have been on my heart. I have always done what I could, but after meeting Jesse, I make it my mission in life. With family, friends, and the communities support; we can help change the lives of many. We are accepting donations of: food, water, blankets, shoes, belts, clothing, etc., anything you think would benefit a homeless person(s). We, also, will be taking pictures and video taping receiving donations, and passing out the donations.
