Good Morning, Family. Join us this year fie the Florence Cooper-Smith Sickle Cell Walk at Dorey Park in September. Ms. Flo, the mother of Sickle cell will be 95 yrs old in August. Come out and celebrate with us her birthday and the many accomplishments that VCU/ Dr. Wally Smith in the fight for a cure. Your continued support has helped to keep us going. See you in September ❤️

Family, last week was busy. Wednesday, the Mother of Sickle Cell, Mrs. Florence Cooper-Smith, 94 was recognized for her Advocacy work for Sickle Cell by Dominion Energy annual Strong Men & Women event. Thursday, several bills were passed/Sickle Cell in the House and Senate. There was a full house in support. Thank you to Delegates McQuinn and Hayes along with Senator Lucus and other representative in attendance. Thank you also to supporters of community, Warriors who spoke and advocates who were also in the house. Much ❤️

We are down here at the General Assembly for Sickle Cell. This morning (2) bills came before the house, And the both passed. Next stop a vote for full approval. Please join us next Thursday, Feb. 12, 8am as we support and get a winn for Sickle Cell..Big tha k you for Delores McQuinn and Delegate Hayes for their bills today.
