Our next Central VA AMS meeting will be Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Grapevine Restaurant (11055 Three Chopt Rd, Richmond, VA 23233) with dinner at 6pm and meeting at 7pm.
Joining us live from NYC will be NBC News Senior Meteorologist and Producer, Kathryn Prociv.
Kathryn is a CCM, a member of the AMS CCM Board, weather contributor for the Today Show, Nightly News, and NBC web and social platforms. She is also Executive Vice President of Monarch Weather Consulting and previously worked as a Weather Content Producer at The Weather Channel.
We look forward to her presentation on the final Tuesday of this month!

Reminder for tonight's chapter meeting: The Grapevine (11055 Three Chopt Rd, Henrico, VA) Dinner at 6pm, with meeting to follow at 7pm.

This meeting will include an update on this year's Mid-Atlantic Severe Weather Conference and a vote on potentially assuming production of it going forward.

It was an all-business kind of meeting last night!

Much was accomplished, including officer elections, fundraising discussion, selecting a date for our Richmond Flying Squirrels outing (June 11), planning for our participation in the Mid-Atlantic Severe Weather Conference (November 8), and possible deeper involvement in that event in the future.

Congratulations to Jeff Mock, Erin Hurd, and Russ Harper on their election to chapter officers!
