YIP applications are closing soon!

Youth in Philanthropy is a six-month leadership program that brings Fort Bend County high school juniors and seniors together to serve local nonprofits, grow as leaders, and learn firsthand how philanthropy strengthens our community.

Participants also have the opportunity to help direct grant funding to participating
nonprofits and apply for scholarships available exclusively to YIP students.

Melissa joins TGF after serving as President and CEO of the Central Fort Bend Chamber, where she helped strengthen operations, deepen member engagement, and build strong relationships across the community.

In her new role, Melissa will lead special initiatives designed to advance the Foundation’s mission through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and programs that support Fort Bend County residents.

Her experience bringing people and organizations together, along with her passion for community service, makes her a natural fit for The George Foundation.

We're proud to introduce Diana Etzler, who has faithfully served The George Foundation for over 21 years. Diana works behind the scenes at our Morton Street office but plays an important role in the administration of the foundation.

As our Accountant, Diana oversees the Foundation's accounts payable, accounts receivable, and agricultural leases, while also collaborating closely with our CFO and grants team to support compliance and financial documentation across the Foundation's charitable distributions and operations. Her meticulous attention to detail and professionalism help ensure our financial processes run smoothly every day.

Originally from Hallettsville, Texas, Diana now lives in Richmond with her husband, Leroy. Together with their two daughters—who are also proud University of Texas graduates—they enjoy cheering on the Texas Longhorns.
