Spiritual guidance will focus on the power, peace, universal of abundance, gratitude and forgiveness. About Theresa Flatts
As a fashion merchandising graduate of J Sargent Reynolds in fashion merchandising and a degree in marketing communication from Mary Baldwin College, Theresa Flatts has been making a name for herself as fashion show director and community leader. Theresa conceived the idea about the Unforgettable Woman because she was unhappy with the retail industry and how it was not supportive of the plus size physique. She was tired of asking that “famous" question, "Do you carry plus sizes?”, also, noticing that women of size had a lower self-esteem. Due to her own battle with low self esteem and lack of confidence, in 2002 the organization of The Unforgettable Woman was created. The Unforgettable Woman is a plus size organization that encourages girls, teens, and women to celebrate their curves by providing classes, workshops, and fashion events that address health, fashion, beauty, and style. The mission of Unforgettable Woman is to help all women achieve their full potential by providing them the necessary tools needed to overcome any obstacle that may prevent them from pursuing their dreams. In the beginning the organization began to work with the American Cancer Society and Sister’s Network Richmond, a national African American breast cancer survivorship organization by sponsoring workshops and fashion events that addressed the devastating effects of breast cancer in the African American community. Since starting The Unforgettable Woman in 2002, it went on to produce its signature plus size fashion show, the Tropical Divas Fashion in 2005. The fashion show has seen celebrities in the plus communities such as, Catherine Schuller, Gwen Devoe of Devoe Signature Events, Jeanne Biggins’ Voluptuous Woman Company, Sharon Quinn “The Original Runway Diva”, and the late plus model Mia Amber. Other celebrities include comedian Queen Aishah, Actor Hosea Chanchez ( “Malik” of BET’s The Game), Brad James (Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse), and Shanda Freeman (wife of DJ Fat Man Scoop). In addition to her business, Theresa is a mother of two and donates her time mentoring young girls at Camp Diva, a nonprofit organization that works with underprivileged girls.
