Shoton Festival Fundraising Video... Appeal to friends and supporters for Chaksam-pa’s 2024 participation in the annual opera festival in Dharamsala, India. We have 11 master artists who have already committed to participate. Unfortunately our past granter US Artist International could not fund us next year due to their funding rules. I am therefore appealing to each of you to make a generous donation to lighten the financial burden on our artists.

We ware looking forward to performing Tibetan traditional folk music and opera at Reston multicultural festival don’t miss it 🙏

This weekend, the NCTA is proud to partner on another amazing year of programming with Reston Town Center and the Reston Multicultural Festival. The full-day event features dynamic performances, demonstrations, food, vendors, and more, presenting cultures and traditions from across the country and globe, including four National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellows: Tsering Wangmo-Satho and Chaksam-pa (Tibetan opera, folk song and dance), Wayne Henderson & Friends (Blue Ridge guitar), Legendary Ingramettes (gospel music), and Roen Hufford (Hawaiian kapa maker). The festival kicks off at 11am and continues through 6pm, free and open to all!

From July 14-16, 2023, the city of Butte hosted the 14th Montana Folk Festival. Under big blue skies, over 22 performing groups representing 22 different traditions and communities electrified audiences during this magical weekend.
