Our work has been focused closely on designing, testing, and refining the tools of a ground-breaking Treasured Views program to Identify, Assess, Map, and Catalog Virginia’s special scenic places before they are threatened.
The protocols and methodology we have developed over three years with your encouragement and support draw on visual resource scholarship and expertise, original research, and existing visual analysis practices. Uniquely, however, our program combines the science-based with a strong emphasis on community values, public input, and participation in celebrating our scenic assets.
