May Valley NC DUMPSTER DAY!!! May Valley residents only—bring identification or utility bill for address check. Saturday, August 1, 8am-noon or when bins fill up (safer before 11:30). Seniors and disabled can have a home pickup (limit one truckload) by calling by 510-620-5509 BEFORE WED JULY 29. Leave message with name, how you qualify, address. Pickup following Friday morning (stuff out by 7am).

>> Jackie Jewel, from the Richmond city staff of OES, plans to attend our MVNC meeting. She will bring flyers for the emergency evacuation drill on May 30, 9-11am, and will discuss and answer questions about the exercise. Post drill people will go to Hilltop Mall to sign in completing their evacuation, and provide important feedback to improve evacuation notifications and logistics of evacuation (road blocks, traffic, sticking points). Our next MVNC meeting is Saturday, February 28, 10:30-Noon, at the May Valley Community Center, across the street from La Moine Park at 3530 Morningside Dr, Richmond. As people have had hearing challenges in the "big room," we will experiment with the "living room" in the back of the community center. This will be a hybrid meeting with Zoom (link yet to come).
