Join us for 4-H Day at the Capitol!

We’re inviting 4-H’ers from across Missouri to visit the State Capitol and share their 4-H experiences with state legislators. It’s a great opportunity to represent 4-H and learn more about what 4-H’ers are doing statewide. While we’re still finalizing the details, we’re looking for youth who want to attend and share their 4-H stories with state legislators. We can provide transportation for some youth in personal vehicles, but if we have a larger group, we’ll look into taking a bus to the Capitol.

Details:
• When: Wednesday, March 26th, 2025
• Where: Missouri State Capitol
• Time: 12:00pm - 5:00pm (approx.)
• Event registration: Open in 4-H Online now through March 1st.
• Space for parents and volunteers is limited – please contact your county 4-H office if you’d like to attend.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with an "On My Own" Simulation at Richmond High School on February 5. "On My Own" is a financial literacy program where students, after completing five lessons, will participate in a simulation as the sixth lesson. In this simulation, students will make purchases as adults, managing a monthly salary and considering the family situation they've been assigned.

There are three class sessions:
1. Class 1: 7:45 am – 8:33 am
2. Class 2: 1:20 pm – 2:08 pm
3. Class 3: 2:12 pm – 3:00 pm

If you can help with one or more of these sessions, please let me know. As a volunteer, you will be provided with all necessary materials and assigned a station. Your role will be to assist students as they work through their monthly budget.

If you know anyone else who might be interested in volunteering, please share this information. We are looking for 12 volunteers per session.

Registration is now open in 4H Online for this two-day face-to-face workshop to certify volunteers in a shooting sports discipline. The workshop will be held at Life Change Camp, Clinton, MO. Registration fee is $145. Registration will close on March 1st!
