A shoutout to the awesome farmers who give us these beautiful flower donations every week! This week there was an abundance of gorgeous high quality flowers to cart back to RVA Light. We are incredibly grateful for River City Flower Exchange Rushing Blooms Floral Studio here.

Meet Melissa! 💙

Not every donation starts with a big company partnership. Most of them don’t, a lot of the time it starts with one person who cares.

Melissa began collecting supplies from her workplace and coworkers because she believed in what we’re doing at RVA Light.

This month she brought everything from hygiene products and shampoo to a computer, a tablet, and so many practical items our neighbors can immediately use.

We’re so grateful for people like Melissa who remind us that kindness is contagious. One person saying “yes” can inspire an entire workplace to make a difference.

Every donation tells someone, “You matter.”

Thank you, Melissa, for reminding us that small acts of generosity add up to big impact. We couldn’t do this without community members like you. Missy Henderson
