For several years, the Holy Spirit has spoken to me about a new word it will plant into my spirit. This year, I was thinking maybe a "word" will not be spoken into me this year rather focus on being focused.
Today, the Holy Spirit gave me God as my word. God. Just God. The past few years have reminded me how strong I am, who I was created to be and not everything that will be given to me will be that simple from man but ALL things are possible in Christ. I was reminded yesterday, that I have played a pivotal role in so many people lives that GOOD is bound to come for me and find me. I receive that.
I was also reminded that I am right where God will have me to be. I recieve this.
Also, I am re-dedicating myself to reading my Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth each day (BIBLE). That is my directional tool. So, as you begin a new week, spend time with the Holy Spirit and just be still. God is listening even when you are not speaking. He does need you to show up. So, show up for Him and with Him. Get out of your own way and show up for God.
I pray this speaks to someone.

God, me and you together, we got this. I am leaning on you and not my own understanding.
I am trusting His process and not my own!
I am moving because God is walking with me and somtimes He has carried me. But, He is with me!

Let me be perfectly clear, I respect all religions. I will not engage in back and forth regarding my last name for nobody! Yes, my last name is historically considered a Muslim last name and NO, I am not a terrorist, or belong to a terrorist organization, or a member of the Nation of Islam. If I was, why does that matter to you?
When individuals result in trying to smear your character, speak negatively about you to others, and do all the foolish things that IS of the enemy (because God is love), please know God is fittin, I said, fittin, to elevate YOU! I need folk to understand, God loves me and He favors me. My name is spoken in spaces and rooms I have yet to walk in and God I thank you. The enemy is really mad at me because I continue to NOT break from the hate, the attacks, the mentality of I am going to hurt you; all of that!
God is worthy to be praised on this morning and each glorious morning. I l know how to stand in the word of God and lean not on my own understanding but God's. Listen, people can say whatever they want, write whatever they want, do whatever they want, and try to hurt me whenever they want. I will not surrender to the foolishness. I will always trust God! I walk in love and God will use me for his glory! I rebuke the enemy today and everyday.
Today, I will focus on the following scriptures for my continued peace, leadership, and my walk with God.

I am excited to share I have been chosen to receive The 100 Women of Color Gala Award.
First, God I thank you from the bottom of my heart that someone thought I was worthy to receive such an honor.
All of my adult like I have stood on the belief, all that I do must glorify God. God has to be in it! I have pondered over who could have nominated me for such a prestigious award. God spoke to me, child, I did. Who chose me I wondered? God said, daughter, I did. To know me is to know, through trauma, I have fought my way back to walk on the path God has ordained for me.
Thank you to the nominator and the committee who selected me to receive this amazing award. My prayer is I desire to live in service to others as someone has done for me.
I am so humbled and honored to receive this award. My grandparents and daddy are smiling so hard right now and cheering me on with so much pride in their souls.
My heart is full.
