Every Tuesday this month, we are bringing you a Grange "Pro-Tip" to help local Granges promote the Grange.

This week's Pro-Tip:
🔹 When referring to our organization, Grange is always capitalized. 🔹

That’s because "Grange" isn’t just a general term—it’s a proper name that represents a national, grassroots organization with a proud history dating back to 1867.

Using a capital “G” helps distinguish the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry from the everyday word “grange,” which can simply mean a farm or agricultural building.

It may seem like a small detail, but it reflects respect for our identity, our mission, and the generations of members who have built the Grange into what it is today.

Erika and Isabel were quiz masters for Enterprise Grange Trivia Night.
Pop Culture from 1990 to 2025 was my downfall with my teammates on the 'Farm Team' covering what I didn't know, but I held my own with U.S.History to celebrate America's 250th birthday and contributing to the team.
Next time, I think Dennis and I will be quiz masters so these two can play. I'm already coming up with challenges about First Ladies through the years and more U.S. History as well as general knowledge.
We will set a date at Enterprise January meeting.

Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has never been detected in Maine. Let's keep it that way.

⛔️ Follow Maine’s import laws. It is illegal to transport wild deer, caribou, moose, or elk carcass parts into Maine from any state or province except NH. Hunters may return to Maine only with boned-out meat, hardened antlers (with or without skull caps), hides without the head portion, and finished taxidermy mounts. If still attached, skull caps should be cleaned free of brain and other tissues.
⚠️ Take extra precautions when hunting out of state. Take necessary steps to avoid handling, transporting, or consuming CWD-infected specimens, and thoroughly clean your gear before returning to Maine.
🦌 Don’t use urine-based lures. Use synthetic, non-urine-based lures instead.

Learn more about CWD causes, symptoms, spread, risk, and prevention at mefishwildlife.com/cwd.

"Today, a cow got loose at the Walmart just five minutes from our house. They were calling around trying to find the owner when, finally, this woman showed up, on horseback, ba****ck, with her baby strapped to her chest.

She roped the cow and casually took it home like it was nothing. It was straight out of a western movie. I still can’t decide if I should be horrified… or if I want to be her best friend."
