MACRAME EARRINGS

INTRO TO MACRAME
Macrame is one of the most popular trends these days in décor and accessories. In this two-night class, learn how to make some macrame projects all on your own! The first night of class will include an introductory to macrame, basic knots and one small project...a keychain. In the second class, we will review the knots and make a macrame plant holder (plant not included). Supplies in the amount of $10 will be payable to the instructor the first night of class.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING

Beginner, intermediate and advanced participants are welcome. A variety of watercolor skills and techniques will be demonstrated, which students can practice and incorporate into their own paintings. Participants with experience are asked to bring previous paintings for analysis and suggestions for improvement. Beginner students should bring a photo or two of watercolor paintings they admire. The goal of this class is for each student to identify a direction to pursue in their watercolor journey. Participants should bring watercolor paints, papers, brushes and a water receptacle.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP AND FINANCE SKILLS
This zero cost program is presented by Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, Inc. and offers a 9-session in-person workshop series that provides education and individual coaching to help couples and singles learn practical finance and life skills to reduce stress and improve communication in order to be successful in all family dynamics and long term relationships.

EVADING VIOLENT ENCOUNTERS FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
This class will prepare the healthcare provider for violence on the street, in the court, media and public opinion. Students will also learn the difference between a patient and an aggressor. A supply fee of $15 will be payable to the instructor prior to the class beginning for the cost of Electronic Study Guide and a Certificate of Completion.

DISCOVER SCUBA

The Discover Scuba class is an opportunity for those considering scuba diving or just curious what scuba diving is like, to learn about scuba diving, scuba gear, and most importantly, get in the water with an instructor and see what diving is like! Discover Scuba participants will review the basics of Scuba diving and dive safety with a certified instructor. After a brief pool side or classroom session, participants will be fitted for mask, fins, and Scuba units. Finally, students will enter the water with their instructor who will demonstrate basic Scuba diving skills and have students demonstrate those skills in the water. As students become familiar with the skills and equipment the instructor will guide students as they begin to swim and experience Scuba diving first hand. No certification is required to participate in a Discover Scuba event. Just a desire to experience what scuba diving is all about. You must be 18 years of age to participate or 10 years of age with parental consent. Students must also complete the SDI medical questionnaire, and liability release, provided at registration.
