Virginia Health Care Association - Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VHCA-VCAL), is a member-driven organization dedicated to advocating for and representing the interests of over 345 Virginia nursing centers and assisted living communities, the 90,000 residents and patients they serve through the selfless efforts of nearly 50,000 dedicated care-giving staff. onwealth’s largest association representing long term care. VHCA-VCAL’s strength, effectiveness, and integrity are significantly enhanced by the diversity of its membership which includes proprietary, non-profit, and government-operated facilities. VHCA-VCAL members are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing traditional long term residential nursing home, sub-acute or short-term care, rehabilitative and assisted living services. VHCA-VCAL conducts legislative and regulatory advocacy on behalf of its members on reimbursement and compliance issues and provides accredited continuing education for long term care administrators.

After spinal surgery left her paralyzed, Brenda never gave up. With determination, faith, and the support of her care team at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation in Roanoke, she kept walking toward her goal.

Now she’s preparing to walk back into her own home.

Our hearts are with everyone at Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center today. We are grateful for the swift response of Loudoun County Fire & Rescue and the dedicated staff who acted quickly to keep residents safe.

We are lifting up in prayer and our thoughts the residents, families, staff, and first responders involved, and are thankful that those needing care are receiving treatment.

Potomac Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center is extremely grateful to the Loudon County Fire & Rescue Department for its immediate and successful response to a small fire in a patient room this morning. We are also grateful to our staff who automatically instituted our emergency procedures. Patients are safe and those that needed medical attention are being treated at the local hospital. Their families have been contacted directly. Most importantly, there is no ongoing risk at the center at this time.
