Overdose deaths across Virginia have dropped about 70% over the last five years, according to officials with the Chesapeake Health Department and they want to keep that trend going, through training and awareness.

🎉 Celebrating 5 Years of Michael Oyer at SAARA! 🎉

Today, we’re celebrating Michael Oyer and five incredible years with SAARA of Virginia! 💙

From supporting people on the Alive RVA Warmline, to leading REVIVE! trainings, showing up at community outreach events, and being a familiar and compassionate face in the recovery community, Michael has made an impact in so many ways.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, Michael was recently named SAARA’s Employee of the Year! 🏆 And honestly? Much deserved.

Michael, thank you for five years of dedication, compassion, hard work, and commitment to the people and communities we serve. We are so grateful to have you on the SAARA team and can’t wait to see what the next five years bring!
