HollaBack RVA The Richmond chapter of the fight to end street harassment! If you are a woman, female-presenting or LGBTQI, chances are, this happens ALL THE TIME!

How many times have you been walking down the street, minding your own business, trying to get to class/work/home, and some stranger yelled something lewd at you? And it can be anything-- from, "Can I get your number?" to "Hey baby, nice t**s!"
It may even be non verbal! Just a leer is enough to make anybody uncomfortable.

"If a story upsets you, direct your anger appropriately. Do not blame the women who have had to alter their views of the world because of their experiences with being women. Blame the men who have made it more difficult for you to fathom this kind of world.

In short, be the kind of man women who experience street harassment need in their circles, the kind who listens more than he speaks.

That is a version of I can get behind."

Do not tell me I'm lucky.

"I’ve concluded that my thundering thighs were perceived as threatening and caused so many exploding synapses to the fine gentlemen I passed, that in that moment I caused them to question everything they knew to be real and fell into a spiral of disillusionment with life as they know it after that. At least, this is the story I tell myself as I fall asleep at night, holding it close to my little misandrist heart."

Strange men keep calling me thunder thighs, rather than coming up with insults that are creative.

If there's one thing that's more annoying than others in public, it's people telling you to smile when they have absolutely no business even getting in your way, let alone talking to you. Broad City, the show that recognizes that this is a problem for women everywhere has provided a solution so simp…

This may be the cutest cartoon we've ever seen. If only we had an "ignore" button in life.

Firstly, the idea that anyone wants an unsolicited, aggressive opinion about their body is an anomaly. Secondly, yeah, we get it, you want to have s*x. Cool. A lot of people do....
